Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KoreanLive ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

KoreanLive is an online marketplace connecting students who wish to learn Korean with native Korean tutors via live 1-on-1 video sessions. The Platform facilitates bookings and payments but is not a party to the tutoring relationship itself.

3. Credits and Payments

Students purchase session credits to book lessons. Credits do not expire. The Platform retains a 20% service fee on each transaction. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider.

4. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Tutor Responsibilities

Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of KoreanLive. Tutors are responsible for the quality of their lessons, timely attendance, and professional conduct.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not engage in harassment, fraud, or any unlawful activity on the Platform. KoreanLive reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

KoreanLive is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
